Saturn V - Picture set

Saturn V - Picture set

More Views

Saturn V picture set laser engraved on laminated engraving sheet.

Brilliant white with black under the laminate.

Originally I wanted to offer these as a framed set. However, postage costs were too high as the frames I were using are very heavy ! So I am now offering this set frame-less but with picture fastening Velcro spots. You now have the choice of framing these yourself or using the provided sticky spots as shown here.

I was going to add text to these images but I rather like the minimalist look of them without. The spots provide around a 4mm stand off from the wall which visually looks nice.

Measurements of the set as laid out here are a very generous 730mm (approx 29') x 500mm ( approx 20')

Comes complete with fitting guide.

Makes a superb, unique gift for any space nut or just treat yourself and hang it in your man shed !

I really enjoy making these. Ill explain how the process works for those that may not know. The sheet has a micro thin top coat under which is the black. As the laser passes, pulses of laser light burn off the top coat leaving the black image underneath. The process is a bit of a juggling act between laser power and speed. It is also necessary to have the original image edited into such a format that the laser software will read it and shade in just the right amount of texture. Size also plays a major part, anything too small bunches up the pulses and makes the image much less defined. So as you can see, its definitely not just a matter of pressing go !!

On closer inspection you will see lines and dots where the laser is pulsing as it goes through its cycle. A laser image is obviously not as defined as a printed photo but that is not the point here. The image it leaves behind is unique and with texture more like a grainy black and white photo than a modern image.

I hope you like what you see here. I plan on doing more so please keep your eyes peeled on instagram, twitter and facebook @gasgasbones

Wrist measuring guide
When measuring the wrist for your wrist size it is important to get this as accurate as you can to help save any issues with fit.

Please measure the wrist with the tape measure touching all the way around the wrist but not pulled too tightly.

Please do not be tempted to add any to the finished length. I build the straps around a metal wrist/Jig that I set to the wrist size you give me.

Lug-to-Lug explained

Simply measure from the centre of one spring bar or tube, across the watch (north to south) to the centre of the other spring bar or tube. This is your Lug-to-Lug measurement.

Strap Adjustment

Each gasgasbones strap is made to your wrist size. I incorporate around 10-15mm of adjustment in each strap for use between warmer and cooler days.

Partialy closed - At capacity for most strap orders, other items available in store.

If this is your first time here, GGB is run by just myself and it is usual for me to have sporadic opening times and to have various items enabled or disabled.  I need to do this to throttle orders and keep leads times to an acceptable level. If at any time I'm closed or you find an item 'out of stock' and you would like to be notified when I open up again then please use the 'be notified' function in any of the strap pages. This will ping an email to you the instant I re-enable ordering.

I thank everyone for their continued support and patience.   Carl 'Bones' Evans
